What was supposed to

be a close game throughout quickly turned into the Terrelle Pryor show in Columbus as he led his #2 ranked Buckeyes to an impressive 36-24 win over #12 Miami. Pryor showed what he had to lead his team and contend for the Heisman as he went 12/27 with 233 yards 1 TD and also ran for 113 yards and a score. It was a completely different story for Miami's Quarterback as he threw four interceptions which would doom the Hurricane. This was a major opportunity for to prove they can contend for the best and upset a powerhouse on the road, but it was not meant to be. A strong first quarter by Miami as they played solid all around defense and using their speed and quickness on special teams as Lamar Miller returned a kickoff 88 yards. But in the 2nd quarter Jim Tressel was able to settle his team down as they outscored the U 24-7. Terrelle Pryor made smart plays and a good drive, as he threw a beautiful outside shoulder strike to receiver Brandon Saine. A field goal and another long drive ending with a 4 yard run from Devin Herron extended the lead to 20-10 and in the driver's seat. Despite continuing with a great performance on defense Miami was able to return a punt a 79 yard punt for a touchdown. OSU's special teams were clearly out matched in the first half, missing tackles and not covering their lanes which led to 14 easy points for Miami. However adjustments were made to correct this issue and it did not happen again. Terrelle Pryor would then run for a score after half, and add a field goal to put this game out of reach at 36-17. Harris would throw for a late score but it was just too much to overcome as the Buckeyes improve to 2-0 with this impressive win. Ohio State's defense was well preparing and throwing in a variety of blitzes and schemes to confuse Harris and the offense and they were rewarded with four interceptions. I think the crowd and atmosphere was also over whelming at times as confusion was the cause of two picks, receiver Travis Benjamin ran the wrong route. Pryor was a play maker all game, converting on 3rd downs, leading long drives and making plays in the air and on the ground whenever necessary, you can really tell how has matured as QB, looking solid in the pocket and not making avoidable interceptions. This will prove to be key as they have a tough Big 10 schedule ahead of them as they vie for a spot in the national championship game. Miami has some things to improve on but should still take home the ACC unless they fall apart which should no happen as Harris is determined to continue a winning tradition at Miami. This was the first time these two teams have met since the controversial 2002 national championship game where Ohio Sta

te took home its last title. Miami dropped 5 spots and they currently sit #17 in the polls.
Player of the game: Although Ohio State kicker Devin Barclay had 6 field goals in the win player of the game will have to go to Junior quarterback Terrelle Pryor as he threw for over 200 yards and rushed for over a 100. This was the 3rd time in his career that he has accomplished this and the first time this season. This performance will gain the attention to Heisman voters as he is now a player to watch this season as this was a major win on the road to the BCS championship game. It went beyond his stats but the way he was poised in the pocket and not making turnover plays as people have come to learn. Great job on all aspects and he is a great leader and look for OSU to remain atop the polls throughout the year behind him and that stud defense.
Tune in later this week as i preview this week's game of the week: #9 Iowa at #24 Arizona
